#1 – Australians drive on the WRONG side of the street, the left hand side.

#2 – They call gas stations, "Petro" stations.
#3 – They call liquor stores, "Bottle Shops".
#4 – Lingo for university is "Uni".
#5 – They eat VEGEMITE (extracted yeast) which is NOT, we repeat, NOT tasty to eat
although the Australians seem to love it.
#6 – There is NO tipping at all in Australia (including restaurants).
#7 – PST and GST is included in the prices so what you see is what you get at price
listed.
#8 – They have DRIVE THROUGH bottle shops. Yup, you heard right, drive through
liquor stores. Chris LOVED this difference and is planning on opening up a couple
hundred of these in Canada when he returns.

#9 – They have McDonalds but in addition to this, also have a "higher end" portion of
McDonalds known as "McCafe" which offers lattes, smoothies and variety of
Desserts. Give it a couple of years and I'm sure Yaletown will open one up as well.

#10 – They like to eat expired food (inside joke which only a few special people will
understand).
#11 – And last but not least and specifically for Sean Hemenway, yes, the water in
Australia swirls COUNTER CLOCKWISE.

Ahh a moment for Vegemite. I love it. Black yeast in a yellow tube, perfect for camping! Happy Birthday Rav, how does it feel to be 24 ;-).

Hmmm, have just laughed to myself reading about the differences - definitely have some things to say on them, but will save them for a witty moment. Very busy at the moment looking for flights..... you've been gone two weeks and I can hardly wait for our next excursion. Love ya both
Thank you for putting that myth to rest. We actually sat here on Friday afternoon, in the office, watching that Simpsons episode.
It sounds like you guys are having a great time. And the guy in the market ... awsome.
Happy birthday to both of you.
